America's Volunteer Lifesavers

Division IX, Flotilla 2, 8th Eastern Region encompasses the Ohio, Monongahela, Youghiogheny, and Allegheny Rivers.  The McKeesport Flotilla augments Active Duty and Reserve Coast Guard Operations between Locks 2 and 3, Mile Marker 15.6, on the Monongahela River.  Our base of operations is the Mon Valley Boat Club in McKeesport, Pennsylvania,  where we meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 1930 hours.  All are welcome.

Our flotilla promotes boating safety through Public Education, Courtesy Marine Examinations, and Safety Patrols on the Monongahela. If you are interested in our classroom training schedule click here.

The members of Division 8 ER work on education for the young people in our area through the Coastie Program.  Check here to learn about Coastie and when he will be out visiting the kids! 

Our Vessel Safety Check Program is a free safety inspection of your boat. From Personal Water Craft to the biggest cruiser we will be happy to give you a free safety check. If you are interested please contact Mr. John Merlino at (724) 446-0321.
